My name is Emma. I am a Clinical Psychologist, and I am here to help. I offer online therapy and autism assessments for adults. I work with people who feel stuck in unhelpful patterns of thinking or emotion, or who are finding life overwhelming due to difficulties such as anxiety, low mood, trauma, or long-standing emotional challenges. I also support adults who are exploring whether they may be autistic and are seeking clarity, understanding, or validation. I offer a warm, compassionate and confidential online space to help you better understand yourself and work towards meaningful change

I believe that every person’s experiences make sense in the context of their life, even when things feel overwhelming or confusing. I draw on evidence-based models while remaining flexible and responsive to your individual needs. I value openness, authenticity and curiosity in my practice. I am committed to working collaboratively, where we work together to develop insight, build resilience, and support change in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable.

Qualifications & Training

I hold a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy).

I have undertaken extensive training across a range of therapeutic models and draw on a variety of approaches in my work, with a particular focus on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and EMDR. I have also completed extensive training in conducting comprehensive autism assessments for adults, including training in structured assessment tools including the Autism Developmental Interview (ADI-R) and the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2).

Experience

I have 12 years of experience working within NHS mental health services and, more recently, within Independent Practice. I have effectively supported people with a wide range of psychological difficulties, each time conducting a tailored intervention to understand and address the route of a person’s difficulties. Throughout all my experience in mental health services, I have always worked with individuals who are autistic, offering assessments and therapeutic interventions.

Approach

Alongside my professional experience, I also have family experience of both mental health difficulties and autism, which has deepened my understanding and shaped how I work. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I aim to create a space where you feel understood and supported, and I always strive to work in a way that is genuine and thoughtful.
